New Study: Heritage Carpentry

Life has changed a lot over the past year. I am back in Ontario temporarily and am taking a Heritage Carpentry course. It has allowed me to develope my long-standing interest in architecture, construction, woodworking, and design. I unfortunately suffered a hard-drive corruption recently and have lost my photos of my work over the past year and a half, but I may be able to salvage a few from other people to show what I have been working on. The more interesting photos are soon to come with projects pertaining to windows, mantle pieces, doors, and architectural feature reproduction. This is a timber frame 12' x 24' structure that I helped build in the fall. I paired a rafter and cut a brace using framing squares, a jack plane, framing chisel, mallet, and chain mortiser.

Post Delay

I am currently preparing to move, so my projects are a little delayed at the moment. I hope to have some new ones up for June! Here is one of my designs for my exit exam from LaSalle College. The thematic was creating a glamorous street performer's costume. I chose to create designs based on the idea of Faery Glamour because it is a subject I am very familiar with.

Large Shoulder-Bag with Pentacle

Created for a custom order, this shoulder-bag has a patchwork pentacle decorating the flap. The flap covers two pockets and the opening to the interior of the bag. It is completely lined.

Altar Cloth

This is an altar cloth I made for a custom order. It is made with a very fluid satin fabric. The cloth is edged with bias tape and decorated with tassels at the four corners.

Ostara Display

Here is a display I created for Ostara. It is a time of new beginnings, abundance, and fertility, so I included items which work with those energies.

Fallen Angel Project

This is a design I created for my drawing class final project. I called the line Fallen Angel as it was meant to be a sophisticated yet esoteric look.
